JBL Sense Pro and Sense Lite: Open-Ear Earbuds Starting at $149

JBL just dropped two open-ear TWS earbuds — the flagship Sense Pro at $199 and the budget-friendly Sense Lite at $149. Both are wireless open-ear earbuds built on JBL’s OpenSound air conduction platform. For context, the Sense Pro was announced back in August — now both models are officially on sale. The previous-gen Soundgear Sense launched at $149 with Bluetooth 5.3 and no LDAC.

  • Sense Pro — 16.2mm DLC drivers, LDAC, Bluetooth 6.0, Spatial Sound, 38h battery, wireless charging — $199
  • Sense Lite — 18x11mm driver, BT 5.4, 32h battery, memory wire — $149
  • Both — IP54, 4 mics, open-ear air conduction
  • Pro packs a Voice Pickup Sensor (bone conduction) + AI noise reduction on calls
  • March 2026 launch — Lite comes in 3 colors, Pro in at least 2 at launch

Sound. The Sense Pro runs 16.2mm DLC drivers with Hi-Res Wireless (LDAC, 24-bit). Adaptive Bass Boost dynamically adjusts low-end response to ambient noise — a smart software fix for the classic open-ear bass problem. The Sense Lite keeps it simpler with an oval 18x11mm driver on standard codecs, but both share the same OpenSound foundation.

Calls. The Pro’s standout trick is the Voice Pickup Sensor — a bone conduction sensor that isolates your voice even in a noisy city. Pair that with 4 mics and AI noise suppression and call clarity should be solid. The Lite also packs 4 mics with beamforming, just without the bone conduction sensor.

JBL Sense Pro on ear — lifestyle

Battery and Design. The Pro delivers 38 h total (8 h / 30 h with case), Speed Charge gives you 4 h from 10 minutes, and it charges via USB-C or wirelessly. Titanium alloy build at 11.6 g. The Lite pulls 32 h total (8 h / 24 h with case), Speed Charge nets 3 h from 10 minutes, USB-C only. Memory wire fit, 9.5 g. Neither model goes anywhere near the ear canal.

JBL Sense Lite — blue

Everything Else. The Pro runs BT 6.0 with LE Audio and Auracast, Multipoint, and Personi-Fi 3.0 EQ personalization. The Lite runs BT 5.4. Both are rated IP54.
