New Marshall Milton ANC (2026) — LDAC, Adaptive ANC and Replaceable Battery for $229.99

Marshall has released the new wireless headphones Milton ANC. These are the first on-ear headphones from Marshall with active noise canceling and the LDAC codec. Visually, the new model resembles the Bluetooth headphones Marshall Major 5 and Monitor III ANC. Reviews of both models are on Mychooz — I recommend checking them out.

Other known specs:

  • Battery life up to 80 hours / 50 hours with noise canceling. Fast charging included.
  • Spatial sound feature like on the Monitor III ANC. Adaptive volume function included.
  • Bluetooth 6.0.
  • Ear pads and replacement battery sold separately.

I’m interested in the new model — Major 5 and Monitor III ANC left a good impression after testing. We’re counting on your support. If you’re interested in a Milton ANC review — like the news video on YouTube.

Sound. The headphones use 32 mm dynamic drivers — for comparison, the Major V has 40 mm drivers. More importantly, there’s LDAC codec support. The basic codecs are the weak side of all Marshall headphones. Over cable the sound is pleasant and engaging, but wireless lacks detail. With LDAC, detail can grow by a notional 15-20%. The key word here is “can” — having the codec doesn’t always guarantee a noticeable boost in sound.

For wired connection, a USB-C to 3.5 mm cable is included.

Noise Cancellation. No exact specs, but an adaptive mode is known. Based on our Major 5 testing, passive isolation only minimally blocks ambient noise. And it’s hard to implement deep noise canceling in on-ear headphones. So I’m not setting high expectations here — just light suppression of background noise. Transparency mode, on the other hand, should make it comfortable to chat with the headphones on.

Battery Life. 80 hours, 50 hours with noise canceling — and that’s on AAC. Fast charging delivers 9.5 hours of playback from a 15-minute top-up. A USB-C charging cable is included. The companion app also has settings to extend battery lifespan. There’s no wireless charging. As a reminder, the Major 5 runs for 100 hours and supports wireless charging.

Features. A volume boost function is advertised: it automatically lifts bass and treble when sound leaks. There’s also a spatial audio function with room or hall simulation and an enhancement effect. Not a useless mode — I enjoyed this feature on the Monitor III ANC.

Service. Marshall will set up authorized service centers for headphone maintenance. The battery, ear pads, and USB-C cable can be bought on the official website. So in 2-3 years, you won’t have to rack your brain over replacements or hunt for alternatives. On the Major 5, ear pads come off with a counter-clockwise twist. So replacing ear pads on the new model should be doable at home too.

Price. $229.99 in the US and £179.99 in the UK. That’s $70 more than the Major 5 — and that’s without noise canceling and transparency, without LDAC, and without a replaceable battery. There’s only one color for now — the signature black with leather-style finish. Other colors may follow later, as happened with the Major 5.
