Skullcandy Crusher 720 — over-ear headphones with tactile bass

What’s Interesting About the Skullcandy Crusher 720

  • Crusher Bass: patented tactile bass — you don’t just hear the low frequencies, you feel them in your body; adjustable via the wheel or in the app
  • Sound: THX Spatial Audio with head tracking
  • Battery: up to 65 hrs; rapid charge 10 min = 4 hrs
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.3, LE Audio with Auracast
  • Driver: 40.7 mm; weight 362.8 g; impedance 36 Ω

Crusher Bass. The line’s signature feature: per Skullcandy’s description, it’s a tactile technology with dedicated bass drivers that create a physical sensation of the low frequencies — you feel them in your body, not just hear them. You set the intensity with the wheel on the earcup or in the app. How fitting that is on a given track — a test will show.

What’s missing. There’s no active noise cancellation (ANC) here — instead there’s a Stay-Aware mode that does the opposite, mixing in outside sound. ANC is on the higher-end Crusher 1080 for $279.99.

Price. $209.99. Its direct predecessor is our review of the Skullcandy Crusher Wireless, also a bass-focused over-ear pair. Where the 720 lands — a test will show.
