- For data transmission. Can be used for connecting peripherals, linking a phone to a PC, and exchanging information between multiple devices. Such adapters can only transmit audio data via three codecs: AAC, SBC, and aptX.
Choose an adapter based on your needs: for audio transmission or data transmission. If your headphones only support AAC, SBC, and aptX codecs, a regular Bluetooth adapter for data transmission will suffice.
Bluetooth adapters work in two modes:
