Shanling has announced its new high-resolution portable MP3 player, the M1 Plus, set to launch in late August at a price of $209. This player can also function as a portable DAC. It’s a more affordable and compact version of the M5 Ultra.

The M1 Plus MP3 player features an audio setup that includes the ESS ES9069Q DAC and two SGM8262 amplifiers, providing a maximum output power of 661 mW at 32 ohms. The player supports both balanced and standard headphone connections. The balanced output (4.4 mm) delivers 661 mW at 32 ohms, while the standard output (3.5 mm) offers 195 mW at 32 ohms.
The M1 Plus utilizes the Ingenic X2000 processor and features a 3.2-inch touchscreen with MTouch system. It supports bidirectional Bluetooth 5.2 with high-resolution codecs including LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, and AAC. The player offers bidirectional USB connectivity and Wi-Fi for firmware updates and media streaming via DLNA and AirPlay. While it supports MicroSD cards for storage, it does not have internal memory for music. The M1 Plus is compact, measuring 86 x 61 x 17 mm and weighing 116 grams.
