These headphones are equipped with a 7.8mm wide-range dynamic driver featuring a composite diaphragm made of LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer), specifically designed for the Quarks 2 model. They also include N52 magnets and a CCAW voice coil. The Type-C cable houses a 40nm SOC with integrated DSP, CPU, RAM, and decoding AMP architecture. It supports hardware decoding of audio signals in PCM format with specs up to 32-bit/384 kHz, enabling Hi-Res audio playback. The DSP allows users to experiment with filters and offers three EQ configurations via the Moondrop Link app.

The Quarks 2 also feature a microphone module with three control buttons: volume up/down and play/pause. The open-back design of the earbuds is shaped like a bullet.
