Nothing Released Nothing Ear (Open) Wireless Headphones with Open Speaker Design

Nothing Ear (Open)

London-based company Nothing has released the Nothing Ear (Open) wireless headphones. The model features a translucent design and an open design with hooks that secure the earbuds around the ear. This design allows users to stay aware of their surroundings without completely blocking the ear canal. There is no Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), but the headphones feature Sound Seal with directional drivers to minimize sound leakage and enhance listening privacy.Nothing Ear (Open)

The headphones feature 14.2mm titanium-coated drivers. Thanks to the Bass Enhance algorithm, the lack of strong bass frequencies characteristic of open design is compensated for. Supported Bluetooth 5.3 provides a stable connection and the ability to simultaneously connect to two devices.

The headphones are managed through the Nothing X app, where you can customize the equalizer, controls, firmware updates, as well as use Find My, low-latency mode for games and integration with ChatGPT (but requires a Nothing phone).

The headphones’ battery life is up to 8 hours from the built-in battery (64 mAh), and together with the charging case (635 mAh), the total operating time reaches 30 hours. Charging is via USB-C connector, wireless charging is not available. Fast charging allows you to get up to 2 hours of playback in just 10 minutes of charging.

The headphones are lightweight – each earbud weighs 8.1 grams – and are IP54 protected against dust and moisture, making them suitable for everyday use. The translucent design and compact case emphasize the company’s aesthetic approach.
