New KEF LS Luxe (2026) — Wireless Bookshelf Speakers With 12th-Generation Uni-Q for $3,999.99

KEF has introduced the LS Luxe — wireless bookshelf speakers priced at $3,999.99 per pair. The speakers come in three colourways: Dusk Titanium, Eclipse Black and Mineral White. The cabinet shape was drawn by Ross Lovegrove.

Driver. At the core sits a coaxial 12th-generation Uni-Q driver measuring 6.5 inches with MAT material. KEF adds its VECO technology and states that it debuts in a wireless speaker for the first time, working through motion-sensing feedback that corrects cone movement. The brand calls its signal processing the Music Integrity Engine.

  • Coaxial 12th-generation Uni-Q driver, 6.5 inches, with MAT material
  • VECO technology with motion-sensing feedback
  • Over the network the speakers accept up to 384 kHz/24 bit
  • HDMI eARC and the coaxial input reach 192 kHz/24 bit, the optical one 96 kHz/24 bit
  • Between themselves the speakers link at 192 kHz/24 bit over cable, while over the air the signal is resampled to 96 kHz/24 bit
  • Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi and a 3.5 mm analogue input
  • The C3 remote carries an aluminium plate, backlit buttons and a customisable favourite button

Streaming. AirPlay, Google Chromecast and UPnP are supported, and the service list covers Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, Amazon Music, Deezer and QQ Music. The brand promises multiroom playback. Roon Ready, however, is marked in the specification as expected only in 2027, which means the support is absent at launch.

Where to buy. KEF sells the speakers through its own store. The $3,999.99 price covers a pair. The S-Luxe floor stand is not included and costs a separate $799.99.

What the wireless link costs you

Over cable.

  • Link between the speakers at 192 kHz/24 bit
  • Coaxial input up to 192 kHz/24 bit
  • HDMI eARC up to 192 kHz/24 bit

Over the air.

  • Link between the speakers is resampled to 96 kHz/24 bit
  • Network playback up to 384 kHz/24 bit
  • Optical input up to 96 kHz/24 bit

We have covered premium wireless speakers before: our piece on the Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 3rd Gen dealt with a portable unit, while the LS Luxe is a stationary bookshelf pair with amplification and streaming already built in. How that difference sounds and what VECO actually delivers — our test will show.

Is four thousand dollars for a bookshelf pair the price of Uni-Q engineering, or the price of a designer signature? Tell me in the comments.
