DUNU has introduced its new portable USB DAC headphone amplifier – DUNU DTC800, the third in the DTC lineup. It is the brand’s first flagship.
What features has new DUNU DTC800 headphone DAC-amplifier?
The device delivers high-quality sound thanks to two CS43198 DACs from Cirrus Logic, which provide excellent performance in processing high-resolution audio signals. The new model is also equipped with a high-power amplifier section consisting of two SGM8262 operational amplifiers, delivering an output power of up to 450 mW when driving headphones with an impedance of up to 32 ohms.
The DTC800 DAC-amplifier supports high-resolution audio up to PCM 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256. It features two headphone outputs: a 3.5mm line output and a 4.4mm balanced output, allowing users to choose the most suitable option for their headphones. The casing is made from CNC-machined aluminum alloy. Its appearance resembles a small coffin, which might appeal to goths and emos. The device weighs just 20 grams, making it highly portable. The DTC800 also includes physical volume control buttons and a multicolored LED that lights up in different colors depending on the bitrate of the audio material.
