According to Fostex, the driver is based on the fourth-generation platform from the T50RPmk4 and features an increased diaphragm excursion, a heavier magnet, and a new zigzag pattern for the voice coil; in its proprietary impulse test, the brand calls its response the fastest in the series’ history. The proprietary USB-C transmitter provides a claimed latency of 20 ms when connected to a computer; supported codecs include aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, and LC3, the latter as part of LE Audio.
According to Fostex, the headphones offer 48 hours or more of playback according to JEITA CP-29058B methodology, and a full charge takes about 3 hours. The package includes a detachable microphone, a USB-C transmitter, a safety instruction manual, and a quick start guide; according to Fostex, the charging cable needs to be purchased separately.
Price and where to buy. According to the official Fostex store, sales in Japan will start on August 28, 2026, with a price of $293 (44,000 yen including tax); the press release for the model indicates an open pricing policy.

What I’m interested in checking in the Fostex T50RP-BT review.
