Haylou dropped a new model — Flowbuds N55. For $40: LDAC up to 990 kbps, adaptive noise canceling at 54 dB, Bluetooth 6.0, and a 12.4 mm titanium driver with Hi-Res Audio certification. Haylou already had TWS with ANC — W1 ANC, MoriPods — but Flowbuds is a new lineup, and the specs here are noticeably more serious.

Sound. 12.4 mm driver with titanium coating — large for TWS, plus Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification. The key feature — LDAC: up to 990 kbps transmission, almost 4 times more than AAC. How it actually sounds — testing will tell, but the codec lineup for this price is impressive.

Noise Canceling. 54 dB adaptive ANC — Haylou claims peak performance at low frequencies. The earbuds adapt to the environment: subway, office, street — different ANC profiles. 6 microphones with ENC for calls, wind protection up to 10 m/s claimed. Fit Detection and in-ear pressure monitoring are on board — features typically found in pricier earbuds.

Battery. 10 hours with ANC, 12 without, 40 with the case (475 mAh). One caveat: with LDAC + ANC simultaneously, real battery life will be noticeably lower — LDAC is power-hungry. Case charges via Type-C in about 2 hours.

Connectivity and Design. Bluetooth 6.0. Two-tone case finish — looks more expensive than it costs. IPX5, two colors: black and white. Weight — 42 grams with case.

LDAC + adaptive 54 dB ANC + Hi-Res + Bluetooth 6.0 for $40 — on paper, Flowbuds N55 packed everything that usually costs twice as much. If the hardware handles the LDAC + ANC combo without hiccups — this could be the budget hit of the season. Testing will tell.
