HUAWEI has opened pre-orders for the FreeBuds 7, its new open-fit earbuds with active noise cancellation. They sport a design reminiscent of the Huawei FreeBuds 5 Pro, and it looks like we’re finally done with the teardrop style of the 5th and 6th generations (which is probably for the best). Sales kick off September 7. While there are four color options, the official store listing hasn’t announced the price yet.

The four colors are sunny orange, moon white, star black, and summer purple. One version includes a charging case that supports wireless charging, though Huawei hasn’t specified the power output or charging standard. You’ll manage settings through the proprietary “Smart Audio” app. The warranty in China is one year.
Price and where to buy. Pre-orders began August 25 in Huawei’s official store in China, with sales set to start September 7, 2026. The official store listing doesn’t have a price yet; the 50 yuan mentioned is a pre-order deposit, not the final cost of the earbuds. I’ll update this article once pricing and availability outside of China are announced.

What I’m interested in testing in the HUAWEI FreeBuds 7 review. MyChooz has reviewed nearly every FreeBuds model since the second generation back in 2019. The FreeBuds 6 are currently the best open-fit earbuds under $150, only really beaten by the Galaxy Buds 4. That’s exactly why the FreeBuds 7 are so intriguing; they have the potential to become the best open-fit earbuds. Only the full review, which is definitely happening, will tell for sure.
