SOUNDPEATS has launched its UU2 clip-on earbuds internationally, though they’re listed as POP Clip2 on the packaging and in Bluetooth device lists. These earbuds went on sale in Japan back on April 20, 2026. In the US, they’re launching at $39.99, down from $49.99. An international rollout kicked off on August 10th in the UK, Canada, Australia, and several European countries. You can grab a 20% discount at launch, and if you order between August 10-12 in participating markets, SOUNDPEATS is throwing in one of 500 branded panda cases.
The UU2 is the second generation in this line, succeeding the UU model. It packs a 12mm dynamic driver with a dual-magnet system and titanium coating, which SOUNDPEATS says results in deeper bass than its predecessor. The earbuds support SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs. However, when LDAC is active, you can’t use dual connection, game mode, or movie mode. Bluetooth 6.0 is on board, with a claimed connection range of about 10 meters in open space. Only the earbuds themselves are IPX5 water-resistant; the charging case offers no protection.
You can expect up to 10 hours of playback from the earbuds alone, and around 42 hours with the charging case. A quick 10-minute charge gives you about 2 hours of listening time. Control is handled by physical buttons: triple-pressing the right bud summons Siri or Google Assistant, while the left bud’s triple-press activates game mode. The SOUNDPEATS app provides an 8-band manual EQ and adaptive tuning based on a hearing test. You can use each earbud independently. They come in black, blue, and beige. Each earbud weighs about 5g, and the case with both buds inside tips the scales at around 47g.
SOUNDPEATS has offered a similar open-ear clip-on design before with the Clip1. You can check out how those performed in our review.
