Leak: Samsung Galaxy Buds On — Clip-On Earbuds Found in One UI Firmware

Beta · unverified information. This is a firmware leak, not an announcement. There is no official confirmation from Samsung — flagged as such. We treat as verified only what the manufacturer confirms.

According to SamMobile, references to new Samsung earbuds — Galaxy Buds On — were found in One UI firmware. Judging by the leak, these are clip-ons: the earbud latches onto the edge of the ear rather than going into the ear canal. Bone conduction is also being discussed. They are apparently not expected at Galaxy Unpacked on July 22, 2026. Samsung is officially silent.

What the Leak Suggests (Not Confirmed by Samsung)

  • Clip-on form factor: the earbud sits on the edge of the ear, not in-canal.
  • Bone conduction is being discussed instead of a classic driver.
  • An alternative name also surfaces — Galaxy Buds Able (model SM-U600) with a clip hook.
  • The release has been pushed back several times; not expected at the July Unpacked.
  • The source is images and references in One UI firmware, not a press release.

Skepticism is warranted: open clip-ons and bone conduction are almost always a compromise on bass and isolation in exchange for hearing the street around you. Samsung is stepping onto turf where Bose and Huawei already play. But as long as this is just lines in firmware and not a device in hand, there is officially no price, no date, and no specs. Once an announcement drops, we’ll come back with facts.
