Shanling has introduced its new product, the CR60 CD transport, aimed at audiophiles who continue to use CD collections in conjunction with modern DACs and streaming devices.
Shanling CR60 CD transport – what’s interesting:
The Shanling CR60 offers several connectivity options, including standard coaxial and optical SPDIF outputs, as well as a USB audio output that allows direct playback of music on a variety of USB DACs, including popular USB “dongles”.
In addition to transport functions, the CR60 also acts as a CD ripper. By utilizing a high-quality Philips CD drive and a Sanyo laser, users can create lossless digital copies of their CDs. The ripping process can be performed to computers, USB drives or directly to Shanling’s Android devices and portable players via the proprietary Eddict Player app, which automatically adds all the necessary tags for simplified music library organization.
Shanling CR60 – release date and price
The device features a compact size (20 x 18 x 5 cm), comes with a remote control and supports power via USB-C or 12V DC. The Shanling CR60 is expected to be available in two colors silver and black. It will go on sale by the end of September 2024.”
