New Sony ULT TOWER MAX — Party Speaker With Up To 2150W Power for $1,499.99

Sony ULT TOWER MAX Party Speaker, front view, official render
Sony ULT TOWER MAX: Party Speaker With Up To 2150W Power

Sony has introduced the ULT TOWER MAX, the most powerful wireless speaker in the ULT POWER SOUND series. Inside, it features three 280mm woofers and an amplifier with up to 2150W of power, delivering 360-degree sound. The starting price is $1,499.99, with sales beginning in September 2026.

Friends, by tradition, if a news post gets 100 likes, I get the model in hand and make a review for you. And of course subscribe to the review — I will email you the moment it goes live on MyChooz.

The Sony ULT TOWER MAX really shines with its sheer loudness, imposing size, and deep bass. It features a total of nine drivers: two front and one rear 280mm woofer, two 120mm midrange drivers, two 25mm tweeters, and two 40mm rear drivers. The dedicated ULT button lets you cycle through four EQ modes: ULT1 and ULT2 crank up the bass, FLAT offers the default sound profile, and LIVE aims to replicate a concert hall’s expansive acoustics. Sony claims the sound was tuned in collaboration with hip-hop producers.

This speaker is clearly aimed at DJs and Karaoke enthusiasts. You get XLR and RCA inputs, an XLR output, USB-A and USB-C ports, and a 6.3mm microphone jack (though the ULTMIC1 microphone is sold separately). You can pair two speakers for true stereo sound, and Party Chain via Auracast lets you sync music and lighting across multiple Sony speakers. The lighting system has BEAT, WAVE, and MELLOW modes, and you can fine-tune the sound with a 10-band EQ in the Sound Connect app. The 360° Party Sound is designed to fill the room from all directions, and the speaker can be positioned either vertically or horizontally.

Connectivity is handled by Bluetooth 5.3 – it’s a bit surprising it’s not 6.0 – with support for SBC, AAC, and LDAC codecs. The speaker needs to be plugged into a power outlet, operating on 120–240V at 50/60Hz. This top-tier model does not have a built-in battery.

In terms of build, the ULT TOWER MAX measures 534 × 1062 × 472 mm and weighs a hefty 56.3 kg. Thankfully, it includes handles and wheels to make moving it easier. The top panel is splash-proof, though Sony hasn’t provided an official IP rating. It’s available in a single Black color option.

The Sony ULT TOWER MAX will retail for $1,499.99 in the US and €1,500 in Europe. Sales are set to kick off in September 2026 on the official Sony website and through retail partners like Amazon.

Friends, write in the comments what you think of this new model and what you’d like me to cover in the review — I’ll do my best to answer everything.

For my Sony ULT TOWER MAX review, I’m particularly keen to test just how loud this speaker can get and how good the sound quality is, especially with its 9-driver setup.
